Privacy Policy
Last updated October 17, 2026 · Draft for legal review
Little Funday helps parents find family activities. We collect as little as we can to do that, we never sell personal information, and we never ask for children’s birthdays. A first name or nickname for each child is optional. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and what you can do about it.
Draft for legal review: this policy describes our practices as built and will be finalized with counsel before launch.
Overview
Little Funday operates the Little Funday website, the Little Funday Plus membership and our newsletter. We are based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This policy applies to people who use those services. It is read together with our Terms of Service and our cookie notice.
If you have a question about this policy or your data, write to hello@littlefunday.com.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the product. Most of it comes directly from you.
- Account details: your email address and how you sign in (magic link, one-time code or Google).
- Children’s ages and nicknames: the age of each child, as you enter it, to filter activities. You may also add a first name or nickname for each child so your lists are easier to read. This is optional. It is shown only to you, never on public pages, is included when you download your data, and is deleted with your account. We never collect children’s birthdays or photos.
- Location: your home ZIP code or neighborhood, to show nearby activities. If you choose “Use my current location” in your profile, we store that one point as your home, only to measure distances to activities; it is never shown to anyone else, and to show you a street name next to it we send the point once to Google’s geocoding service. Choose “Use ZIP instead” to remove it; it is also deleted with your account. We never track your location in the background.
- Activity data: saved events, filters, and, where you use them, votes or visit logs.
- Consent records: whether you agreed to our newsletter and to analytics, and when.
- Membership status: whether you have a Little Funday Plus membership, its plan, trial dates and renewal status.
- Technical data: basic information needed to keep the service secure and working, such as error reports and request logs.
Payment details
Stripe handles all payment card details. We never see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code. We store only what Stripe sends back, such as the plan, the last four digits of the card and the payment status.
How we use your information
We use your information to run your account; show activities that match your location and your children’s ages; send the sign-in codes and transactional emails you ask for; manage your membership and billing; send the newsletter if you opted in; keep the service secure; and fix bugs.
We also use aggregated, de-identified information to understand how the product works and to improve it. We do not use children’s ages or nicknames to build profiles for advertising, and we do not use your information for targeted advertising.
Children and COPPA
Little Funday does not have child accounts, and it is not directed at children under 13. Only adults may create accounts. A parent may enter a child’s age to find suitable activities and, if they wish, a first name or nickname for that child. The parent enters this, not the child, and only the family can see it. We do not ask children for any information, and we do not collect personal information from children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to hello@littlefunday.com. We will delete it promptly and remove any associated account data.
Event data from public sources
Most of the event and venue information on Little Funday comes from public calendars run by libraries, parks, museums and cities. We collect it with our crawler, LittleFundayBot/1.0. The crawler identifies itself by that name, so site owners can see it in their logs and contact us about it.
Event listings describe activities, not people. We do not publish the personal contact details of organizers or staff. If you represent an organizer and want a listing corrected or removed, write to hello@littlefunday.com or use “Report a problem” on the event page. We act on valid requests promptly.
Cookies and analytics
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect against misuse. We also store some preferences, such as filters, in your browser’s local storage. These do not need consent because the service cannot work without them.
We use PostHog for product analytics, but only after you agree to analytics in our cookie banner. We use Sentry to receive error reports so we can fix bugs. Sentry reports do not include personal identifiers. For details, read the cookie notice.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it. We currently use the following.
- Stripe: payments and billing.
- Resend: sending sign-in codes, transactional emails and newsletters.
- Vercel: hosting the website.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting our API and database.
- PostHog: consent-based product analytics.
- Sentry: error monitoring.
Legal requests and safety
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the safety of people using the service. We will tell you about a legal request for your data unless the law prevents us from doing so.
We do not sell personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we never will. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not sell it, there is no sale to opt out of.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct and delete your personal information at any time. The fastest way is Profile → Privacy & data export. You can also write to hello@littlefunday.com. We offer these rights to everyone, regardless of where you live.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. You will not be charged more, or receive a lower level of service, because you asked us to delete your data.
Nevada privacy notice (NRS 603A)
Operator: Little Funday, Las Vegas, Nevada, hello@littlefunday.com. Categories of covered information we collect are listed above under What we collect.
We do not sell covered information. Nevada residents may nevertheless submit a verified request directing us not to sell covered information about them, by writing to hello@littlefunday.com. Email and the newsletter
The Thursday newsletter is double opt-in. We send it only after you confirm your address by clicking a link in a confirmation email. We follow the CAN-SPAM Act. Every commercial email shows our physical mailing address, Little Funday, Las Vegas, NV, and includes a working unsubscribe link.
We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 days. You can also manage your newsletter setting in Profile. Transactional emails, such as sign-in codes, membership receipts and renewal reminders, are sent because you have an account. You cannot opt out of those while the account is open, but you can close the account.
How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal, tax or billing obligations, to prevent fraud or to resolve disputes. Error reports and logs are kept only for as long as they are useful for debugging.
Security
We encrypt information at rest and in transit. We limit access to personal information to people and systems that need it. We keep an audit log of changes to important records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong email account and keep your sign-in codes private.
International visitors
Little Funday is operated from the United States. If you use the service from outside the United States, your information will be processed here. By using the service, you understand that United States law applies to that processing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and change the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will email you before they take effect.
